Prologue

Where are you?

I’m here, waiting.

Full moon waned to half.

You watch me wait,

Cruelly test my endurance.

The sun rises and sets.

I could watch it all alone

And know you’re there

Watching with me in spirit

From the hilltop.

Music, familar enough to know

But words strange of

Sad tunes drift between

Wake and sleep

They are my songs.

You are my song

Yet I wander like untied.

I read without you,

Eat and sleep without you,

Breathe without you

Can this be life?

Where are you?

I’m here waiting.

Half, incomplete, cold.
