A sunbeam child

Written in August, 2013

Smells of magnified burnt leaves

Light tinges of Jasmine

The Sun is beautiful, the grass so green

The bee patiently collects nectar

Leaves whisper

Pure sunlight brings my skin to life

Watching a bee is quiet and fascinating

Seeds float

Blue blue skies

I used to stare straight at the sun as a child,

Now I have more respect.

Look at the flowers, the fine long petals around

A yellow center.

The stalk trembles with the wind.

The sun makes me a child, innocent,

My curiosity and wonder awakened

Nature is so intricate and beautiful.
