Crew has a different uniform. Spock smiles a little when he says ‘irritation’ is an Earth emotion and at the very end after he is told he has hope by Kirk when he admits he ‘felt for him too’. He has diagonal bushy eyebrows and says ‘One of my Ancestors married a human female’! (It was his dad). He mentions logic for the first time. Spock is overall far less assuming.
Kirk is thinner!
Scotty in transporter room and characteristically shows off about engineering being ready ‘as always’. Thin, lean even, with black hair. No sign of McCoy!
The Captain’s log recorder is a projected device from the Captain’s seat. Title music is more mellow and single layered.
