Prologue II

Where are you?

I’m here, waiting,

Only half.

I look up at the black sky

And ask the bright stars.

Come to me.

You are not where I looked.

I need not be resigned

To never becoming whole.

I love you, miss you and long for you

You who I know but

Not by name or face.

Won’t you come?

We can watch the stars together

Feel music and sing together.

We can spend whole nights reading

And finding patterns together.

We will recognise ourselves when we meet.

Won’t you come to me?
