  1. Yep, don’t give up on this. I did something similar – barefoot running – it killed my calve muscles after about half a km, and had to stop running for a week, then started back a bit more cautiously, and since then it’s been fantastic. If there is good science behind a thing like this (standing at desk) then it’s always good to not give up at just the first sign of discomfort, because it might be your body adjusting. Same goes for a few intellectual pursuits. But also wise to chuck it in of discomfort persists.
